NORWAY
Welcome to the Kingdom of Norway – perhaps the most beautiful country in the world.
Many countries have beautiful landscape, but Norway has much more – transcendent and serene. Enjoy the fjords, breathe the fresh mountain air and marvel at the northern lights. Norway’s natural beauty cannot be described without seeing it - From its precipitous glaciers to steep-sided gorges and crystalline fjords.
You cannot imagine the exhilarating feeling of Norwegian nature, light, freshness, and fragrance until you are actually there. The far north is ruled by midnight sun in the summer and flickering Northern Lights in the winter, where the Sami people herd their reindeer all year round – regardless of the lighting mood. In the south, a beautiful archipelago extends Oslo, the capital city, into the sea. In between, you will find the spectacular fjords, majestic mountains full of wild berries and mushrooms, green valleys with colorful wooden farmhouses, and raging rivers with wild salmon ready to bite. For Norwegians – Trolls and Vikings are a living part of it all.
Oslo is the fastest-growing capital in Europe, and a hotbed for exciting food, music, and culture. Not to forget other urban cities like Bergen with its famous wharf, Bryggen, Trondheim, Stavanger, Tromsø, and Kristiansand.
In the far north, the glacier-covered sub-polar peninsula of Svalbard is one of the few areas where polar bears can be seen in the wild, while Norway’s miles of Arctic tundra double up as a destination for skiing and spotting the Northern Lights. Elsewhere, a ferry trip along Geirangerfjord has to rank among the world’s prettiest voyages with pine-topped cliffs giving way to icy green water, regularly topped up by the waterfalls that cascade down the fissured sides of the ravine.
Our Norwegian experts determine the most beautiful and spectacular routes through the country whether it is for groups or individual travelers.
Summer weather is changeable from sunny to cloudy or rainy. Winter is cold, icy, and snowy with the Northern Lights. Norway has a lot for everyone in every season.
