Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1: Oslo
Upon arrival in Oslo, a Private Transfer from the airport to the hotel. Individual check-in.
Your private English speaking driver will meet you in the airport arrival hall with a name sign and assist with your luggage. Rest of day at leisure.
Oslo is the Viking city, the culture city, the city of the Nobel Peace Prize, the city of rolling green hills and spectacular fjords, and the capital city of Norway. The fast-growing Norwegian capital is beautifully situated at the head of Oslofjord. With its new neighborhoods and eye-catching architecture, it is one of the most modern capitals in Europe and offers a wide range of activities and sights.

Day 2: Oslo – Sightseeing
Breakfast at the Hotel.
You will be picked up by your driver from the hotel to meet the guide in the city centre, for your private 4-hour combo car & walking tour. Drive up to one of the hilltops surrounding Oslo to enjoy the view of the city and the fjord. Going back downtown, you stop to walk through Vigeland Park. Driving through town, you will see the Opera House, the Royal Palace, the Parliament, the medieval fortress, and the City Hall, as well as other city highlights. The driver will drop you downtown after two hours, and you’ll walk past the City Hall and through the Old Town which the Danish king Christian VI ordered built-in 1624, ending the tour with the views from the rooftop of the Opera House before returning to the hotel or a good place for you to have lunch or a light meal.
Optional — the driver could drop you at Bygdøy, where you could visit the museum of your choice and return to the City Hall by ferry or bus. Museums here being the Fram, the Kon-Tiki, the Maritime, the open-air Norwegian museum of cultural history, or the Viking Ship museum. If you wish to rather have a hike in the surrounding woods than in the sculpture park, or would rather see the Reptile house than the Viking ships, that is also possible.

Day 3: Self-Guided Day Trip to Flåm from Oslo
Early Breakfast at the Hotel & Hotel check-out.
Luggage Porterage: Carry a backpack & enjoy some of the world's most breathtaking nature & focusing on your camera - while your luggage suitcase will be picked up at your hotel in Oslo and safely transferred to your hotel in Bergen.
Following your breakfast, prepare for this day trip through the plateaus, canyons, fjords, and valleys towards the world-famous fjord village Flåm. You will need to make your way to Oslo train station for the morning/noon departure. We can also arrange the private transfer at your convenience. You will first take the 5-hour train journey from Oslo to Myrdal, which is a part of the Bergen Railway, classed as one of the finest train journeys in the world. The train will bring you across Hardangervidda Mountain Plateau, with Finse as the highest train station at 1222 meters above sea level. In Myrdal you will change to the Flåm Railway train – regarded as one of the highlights of Norway in a Nutshell tour, connecting the Bergen Railway with Sognefjord. You will pass through wild and beautiful mountain scenery with waterfalls and steep mountainsides before reaching the fjord village of Flåm.
Upon arrival in Flåm, proceed to check in to your hotel and have a free evening in your possession. You can stroll near the waterfront, visit the Flåm Railway Museum (free entrance), visit the local microbrewery Ægir, explore local souvenir shops, etc. Dinner at Fretheim Hotel or at Ægir BrewPub.

Day 4: Private Trip from Flåm to Bergen

After having breakfast at your hotel, meet your private driver/guide in the hotel lobby. The guide will take the luggage into a car and take you to climb up the narrow road to Stegastein viewpoint, overviewing Flåm and Aurlandsfjord from 650 meters above. The trip to both ends will take around 1,5 hours. When you return to Flåm, the guide will board you on a 2-hour fjord cruise by ferry on the two branches of Sognefjord: AurlaNærøyfjord to Gudvangen. The Nærøyfjord is the narrowest fjord channel in Europe and has been added to UNESCO’s World Heritage List.
Optional — We can also arrange a private RIB boat cruise or a private yacht following the same route. If you wish to go with a private RIB or yacht, we can arrange a stop at a tiny village Undredal, where you will have a short visit to learn about the local ways of making various kinds of goat cheeses with a sample tasting and opportunity to buy some for yourself.
Upon arrival to Gudvangen, the private guide will meet you there to continue the journey through Nærøy Valley and via the 13 steep hairpin bends of Stalheimskleiva’s serpentine road to Voss (available only from May to September). Approaching Voss, stop at Tvindefossen waterfall to breathe the freshness of the falling streams. Continue the ride to Voss, where you can stop near the crystal clear Voss lake, have some lunch or a quick meal, walk around the old church built in 1277 and visit the charming Fleischers Hotel. Conclude the journey with a 1,5-hour ride from Voss to Bergen, Norway’s second-largest city and the world’s only city surrounded by 7 mountains and 7 fjords. Your private driver/guide will drop you at the hotel and will assist with the luggage.

Day 5: Bergen – Sightseeing

Today is all about walking around Bergen with a professional guide. Bergen city center is very compact with much to see and hear about within a short walking distance. This is a 3-hour walking tour of the downtown heart of Bergen. The tour will take you to Bryggen, a World Heritage Site, the Bergen Fortress area, strolling past old wooden houses, chimney houses & along cobblestoned streets while hearing of Bergen’s past & present. This will help you orientate and show you some of the unique places and sites that you may not otherwise find alone.
On this tour, we’ll walk at the Wharf, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the historical heart of Bergen. The narrow alleyways will make you feel like stepping back in time to the era when the Hanseatic merchants dominated Bergen’s trade. You will learn about the stockfish trade, daily life in the Middle ages, and about the Wharf as a secret hide-out during World War II. From the Wharf it’s a short walk to the Bergenhus Fortress, with the royal stone hall and the Rosenkrantz tower.

Optional — Dinner at Cornelius Seafood Restaurant, 5-course dinner with exquisite seafood (Monday-Saturday 18:00 -23:00):- Cornelius is one of Norway's best seafood restaurants, situated right by the sea on a small island outside of Bergen. Enjoy a 25 min boat trip from the city center to the restaurant, passing beautiful scenery. Inspired by the weather of the day, Cornelius serves its famous Meteorological Menu of exquisite seafood and trimmings. Prepared using innovative culinary techniques and with a genuine passion for seafood.
