Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1: Oslo
Upon arrival in Oslo, take the Airport Express Train into the city center and make your way to your hotel (near Train Station) for check-in. The rest of the day is at leisure – relax at your hotel or take a short walk along the harbor or the main shopping street, Carl Johan which leads up to the Royal Palace. Norway's capital is an energetic and modern hub that is easily explored by foot.

Day 2: Oslo – Myrdal – Flam or Balestrand

Get ready for a whirlwind day which will sure to be a highlight of your time in Norway. Starting with a spectacular train journey that offers a panoramic view of some of the most magnificent landscapes of Norway as you travel on the Bergen Railway to the mountain station of Myrdal. Here, change trains for the breathtaking Flam Railway for an exhilarating ride on one of the steepest train lines in the world.

OR continue to Balestand after a short break in Flam.
You'll get your first glimpse of the magnificent Sognefjord which you'll soon get up close and personal with during a ferry ride across its deep blue water to the charming village of Balestrand, which offers a welcome retreat from the crowds that swarm the tiny village of Flam. When you dock in Balestrand, your hotel is just a short walk away.

Day 3: Flam or Balestrand – Sognefjord Cruise – Bergen

Balestrand: optional – Explore on your own, take a short hike or take a guided kayak tour on the emerald green waters of the Sognefjord or a Fjord Sightseeing RIB tour.
Later in afternoon Depart for an unforgettable cruise through the Sogne Fjord, the longest and deepest fjord in the world. Spectacular scenery as the boat winds through the narrow passages of the fjord out to the west coast of Norway and through the archipelago to Bergen. Upon arrival in Bergen, take a short walk to your hotel.

Day 4: Bergen

Day 5: Bergen – Hardangerfjord – Lofthus

Morning departure by bus from Bergen to the fjord village of Norheimsund, located right by the beautiful Hardangerfjord, through beautiful local fjord & mountain scenery, passing the spectacular Steinsdalsfossen waterfall. Board a ship for a crossing on the majestic Hardangerfjord from Norheimsund to Eidfjord. The 179km Hardangerfjord is one of the longest in the world. Disembark in the tiny fjord village of Lofthus, often called the orchard of Hardanger.

Day 6: Lofthus – Eidfjord – Ulvik – Voss – Geilo
Breakfast at the hotel. Hotel Check-out.
Start with a fjord cruise to the tiny Eidfjord village in the inner part of the Hardangerfjord. Disembark in Eidfjord and join the audio guided bus tour which takes you through the breathtaking Mabodal canyon to the edge of the Hardangervidda mountain plateau, with dramatic views of the impressive Voringsfossen waterfall. Visit the Norwegian Nature Centre in Hardanger. This national park center celebrates Norwegian nature, climate and environment through a range of interactive exhibits. Next stop on the tour is the incredible Vøringsfossen waterfall with a dramatic fall of 182 meters. Get a closer look at this spectacular waterfall by walking to the viewing platform before ending the tour back in Eidfjord. The coach takes you back to Eidfjord where you board the ferry and continue by fjord cruise to the beautifully located Ulvik fjord village.
Disembark in Ulvik and take the bus to the Voss train station, where you will take the Bergen Line Train for a journey to the mountain station of Geilo, arriving just in time for dinner

Day 7: Geilo – Oslo
Breakfast at the hotel. Hotel Check-out.
Late morning take the train through the scenic Hallingdal valley to Oslo, arriving mid-afternoon. Walk to the hotel near the train station.
Rest of day at Leisure - explore on your own or onboard Hop On – Hop Off city sightseeing by bus in Oslo. You can visit the Royal Castle, the Vigeland Sculpture Park or the spectacular Opera House. Other attractions of interest are the Viking Ship Museum or Kon-Tiki, Fram & Norwegian Maritime Museum. Jump off at your favorite location to explore more!

Day 8: Oslo
Breakfast at the hotel. Hotel Check-out.
Transfer on your own to the international airport for your departure flight.
