Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Stockholm
Arrive at Stockholm Airport. Transfer on your own to your centrally located 4* hotel. (Optional transfer available)
Welcome to Sweden, a country stretching 1574 km from north to south, covered by more than 50% of its area by endless forests. Visit Stockholm, capital of Sweden, "The Venice of the North", a city with innumerable islands and cut by the water. One of the best ways to experience local culture and holiday tradition is to visit the city during Christmas Markets weeks. You can visit some of these markets in Stockholm city center and its surroundings. Here, you can taste Swedish seasonal delicacies, buy beautiful handicrafts and decorations and enjoy the magic atmosphere of Christmas.

Day 2: Stockholm City Tour and Visit of Skansen & Vasa Museum
Breakfast at the hotel.
09:00 Meet your local guide and the other participants at the hotel reception and start an 8 hours city tour. During your sightseeing tour, you will visit the Gamla Stan (Old town), where you will be charmed by cobblestone streets, crooked but beautifully preserved buildings, gothic churches, and excellent cafes, bars, restaurants, and Swedish design-ware shops, the famous Stockholm Cathedral and the Nobel Museum. The Royal Palace is one of the largest palaces in the world with over 600 rooms. In front of the palace, you can see every day the parade of the soldiers and changing guard's ceremony.

In the afternoon, we will visit the two most popular attractions in Stockholm: Skansen Park & Vasa Museum. Skansen is the world’s oldest open-air museum, showcasing the whole of Sweden with houses and farmsteads from every part of the country. At Skansen, you can discover Sweden’s history and find out how Swedes once lived according to the changing seasons, through the customs and traditions, work, celebrations, and everyday life of times gone by. We will then move to Vasa Museum. It is here that you will find in all its glory, the unique and well-preserved warship Vasa from 1628, embellished with hundreds of wooden sculptures. The exhibitions in the museum, describe the warship Vasa's history and life at the time; how, after 333 years at the bottom of Stockholm bay, the ship was rediscovered and salvaged; and the research which is now underway to preserve Vasa.

Day 3: Day at Leisure – Optional Activities
Breakfast at the hotel.
Today you will have a full day at leisure to discover Stockholm on your own, relax strolling in the charming old town and spoil yourself with some Christmas shopping. When buying this tour, it is also possible to pre-book some optional activities. We recommend choosing to admire Stockholm and its surroundings from the water.

Enjoy a delicious Christmas lunch in the Stockholm archipelago! Onboard you can enjoy traditional Swedish Christmas dishes such as smoked salmon, pickled herring, meatballs, small fried sausages, Jansson's Temptation (Janssons Frestelse), wort bread, and Christmas sweets.
